Francis Ngannou Wants Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis To Prepare For Tyson Fury

On October 29 in Saudi Arabia, former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou will make his professional debut against “The Gipsy King.” The bout, which will be recorded on both men’s professional records, will go for ten rounds of three minutes each. After earning only $600,000 for his final UFC championship defence, Ngannou will earn a career-high sum for the crossover match.

When asked Mike Tyson about the possibility of preparing Ngannou for the fight ‘Iron Mike’ had replied “ I would like to do that, yeah. That would be cool. I like that.” Despite the vast difference in their levels of expertise, Tyson continued to believe that Ngannou had a shot to defeat Fury. Mike believes it is possible for Ngannou to defeat Tyson Fury because he has a hard punch.

It’s unknown if Ngannou will train for Fury at his Las Vegas MMA club, Xtreme Couture, or look for a conventional boxing gym. ‘The Predator’ has asked Tyson to train him and also believes that Lennox Lewis, Tyson’s former foe, may be of great assistance.

Francis Ngannou mentioned to TMZ sports “I think getting some advice or some training from Mike Tyson would be good, I also think of somebody like Lennox Lewis who could be good. I love his boxing style, very basic but very sharp and efficient. One-two, all that stuff, classic but very good. I love stuff like that. One of those guys. We are definitely reaching out.”

Since Ngannou is not ranked by the WBC, Fury’s heavyweight championship will not be at stake in the contest. Ngannou left the UFC in January in search of a lucrative payday, but his chances of succeeding appeared dim when it was announced that Fury would meet fellow heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. However, the undisputed battle was once more called off, and Ngannou’s bet on himself was successful.
