Francis Ngannou vs Deontay Wilder in negotiations

According to Ngannou, talks with Wilder for a boxing bout are ongoing, and they intend to make it happen in Africa.“We are looking into [Deontay Wilder] because he’s available. He’s ready for that. He’s very excited about [a fight with me]. He wants it. So, we are looking into that. That’s something I’m very happy about. We even discussed a potential fight in Africa and one fight somewhere else. Why not even the two fights in Africa?” the former UFC heavyweight champion told TMZSports.

Within MMA, Ngannou is unquestionably a knockout artist. He has a pro record of 17-3, with 12 knockouts. Yet facing Wilder would be a very different issue for the 6’4″ heavyweight. With a history of 43-2-1 and 42 knockouts, Wilder has a sizable advantage in terms of experience.

Ngannou says that he lacks a boxing technique

Ngannou told TMZ Sports, “I can knock everyone out. I have to make something obvious. It would help if you acquired a clear shot to hit that guy, which requires more expertise and experience than I do. I’m therefore acutely aware of that fact.”

Even though he’d be a considerable underdog boxing against Wilder, if it happens, Ngannou will make a lot of money from the match. The chance might be too excellent to pass up for that reason alone.
