WATCH: Lewis Hamilton trolls Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz after Singapore GP

In the post-race press conference, a question left Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz in awe Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton is statistically the most successful driver in Formula 1. His consistency with McLaren and Mercedes is well-documented. That consistency has led to several unforeseeable records that the 7-time World Champion holds. One of those records came up in a question during the press conference after the Singapore GP. Lewis Hamilton took the opportunity to troll his fellow podium-sitters, Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz.

A Double Century of Podiums

The Singapore GP was Lewis Hamilton’s 196th Formula 1 podium. Most drivers who have raced in Formula 1 don’t even get that many races. With 7 races still to go in this Formula 1 season, he might achieve the double hundred in 2023.

A reporter asked Lewis Hamilton just that. She asked him if he thinks he can achieve this astonishing feat this season. In reply, he graciously thanked the amazing people he has worked with and remarked he doesn’t know where Mercedes will be in the coming races. He just hopes to get another podium in 2023.

However, before answering, Lewis Hamilton took the opportunity to troll an awe-struck duo of Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris. He asked them if they had even raced 200 races. He then revised the number to 196, the number of podiums he currently has.

Multiple All-time Records

With the current domination of Max Verstappen and Red Bull, one can easily forget the dominance Lewis Hamilton had in Formula 1 just a few seasons ago. Max has taken a lot of records over a single season. But it is still Lewis Hamilton who owns a majority of all-time records.

Most wins, most podiums, most poles joint-most Championships, most points: these are just some of the records he has. Every time he leads a lap or gets on a podium or wins, he is extending an already unfathomable record.
