The Formula 1 universe is in for a major shock. On winter transfer deadline day, 7 time World Champion Lewis Hamilton is set to join rivals Ferrari in F1 2025 season. Hamilton has been with Mercedes for 10 years since leaving McLaren. The Briton recently signed a 2-year deal with the Silver Arrows.
Sir Lewis Hamilton has been hugely successful in Formula 1 with Mercedes. He has won 6 of his 7 World Titles for the Silver Arrows. But now as per reports, the man from Stevenage is on his way to become the darling of the Tifosi.
Hamilton’s contract is set to expire at the end of 2025 season. However, reports claim that the Briton will leave Mercedes and join the Italian outfits from the start of 2025 season.
The 7 time World Champion will replace Carlos Sainz. Reports further indicate that there is a high possibility of a swap between Lewis to Ferrari and Carlos joining Mercedes.
Ferrari has showed their interest to take Hamilton in their team for the last couple of years. However, the Hamilton has remained loyal to Mercedes where he has flourished time and again. But now with Hamilton reaching the twilight of his career, he has taken the call to switch sides and join the Scarlet Red.
