It was Charles Leclerc who took the pole position for the debut Miami Grand Prix. He was then followed by his teammate Carlos Sainz in the second position as he needed a strong result under his belt. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen had to settle for a third-place finish after having a bad day in the office yesterday. Sergio Perez continued his good form as he settled for a fourth-place finish.
Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas claimed the fifth position and was followed by his old teammate Lewis Hamilton in the sixth place. It looks like that Hamilton is getting his confidence back and coming into his groove. AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly had a good outing today as he claimed the seventh spot.
McLaren’s Lando Norris, who is coming off a podium finish at the Imola Grand Prix settled for an eighth-place finish. Yuki Tsunoda finished in the ninth spot and was followed by Lance Stroll in the tenth spot. Meanwhile, these top 10 drivers managed to reach the Q3 session.

The veteran Fernando Alonso settled for an eleventh spot finish and was followed by George Russell in the twelfth spot. The Aston Martin’s driver Sebastian Vettel claimed the thirteenth spot and Daniel Ricciardo had to settle for a fourteenth place finish.
Mick Schumacher who was looking good in the Q2 session settled for a fifteenth place finish. Meanwhile, from Alonso to Schumacher, these were the drivers who got eliminated after the Q2 session.

The Danish driver Kevin Magnussen could only finish in the sixteenth position. Then came the rookie driver for Alfa Romeo, Guanyu Zhou who settled for a seventeenth place finish.

Williams drivers Alex Albon and Nicholas Latifi finished in the eighteenth and nineteenth spots. Last but not the least, Esteban Ocon finished in the twentieth position as he didn’t take part in the Qualifying session after crashing his car in the FP3 session.
