Canadian GP: The 2023 Canadian GP concluded after some hard-hitting battles and enthralling on-track action. Max Verstappen took the chequered flag, registering his 6th race win of the season out of the 8 races so far. The Dutchman is running high on an invincible streak, barely missing his fourth consecutive grand slam today at Montreal.
However, many might believe that this race win of Verstappen of a much higher significance than his other wons. Today after his second successive win in Montreal, Max Verstappen took his race win tally to a whopping 41, equalling triple world champion and F1 legend Ayrton Senna.
Another sweet statistic that will add to this celebration is that the 41st win of the Dutchman also brings a century of wins for Red Bull as constructors. They now become one of the only five constructors in the history of Formula 1 to reach 100 wins. Not just that, Verstappen has now won 20 of the last 27 races he has entered. These numbers alone are sufficient to tell the dominant streak he is enjoying in F1 for a while now.

Never Expected to Get these kinds of numbers: Max Verstappen
After the start of the turbo-hybrid era, Red Bull more or less lost their mojo for a decent period. However, since 2021, it has been nothing but an array of smashing records for the young gun. Winning races has become part of the team’s DNA and Max Verstappen is enjoying every bit of it. Though many find it predictable and boring to see a lonely race at the front, Red Bull deserves every credit for making it happen.
After the race today, Verstappen came out and acknowledged the unwavering achievement of the team on winning 100 races and his most valuable contribution of 41 in them. “I’m very happy right now. It wasn’t a straightforward race because the tires were not getting in their window. It was very cold today compared to Friday,” said Verstappen during the post-race interview.
“And to win again, the 100th grand prix for the team is incredible. I never expected to get these kinds of numbers. It’s a great day again. I expected more or less what we had today [he’s talking about the challenge from the other teams]. We just had to keep the grip in the tyres which was disappearing quickly. Overall we won that was the most important,” added the Dutchman.
