The Las Vegas GP is set to revolutionize the world of entertainment. The entertainment capital of the world will play host to one of the richest sports in the world. Formula 1 has been hyping up this event since it was confirmed. Liberty Media is promoting this event itself. And now, we are getting to see the various unique elements of the racetrack. With the word paddock being removed from the weekend, let’s see what else is new.
Brilliant Track Design
The Las Vegas GP organizers came up with a brilliant new idea for their track design. The city of Las Vegas is known for its numerous casinos and nightlife. Therefore, the iconic Formula 1 track design has been tweaked a little to reflect it.
The kerb stones for the Las Vegas GP have been modified. Each alternating kerb is adorned with a heart, a spade, a club, and a diamond. These obviously reflect a deck of playing cards, symbolic of gambling.

Seamlessly Blending Culture
Mexico has done something unique in the last two Formula 1 seasons. The usual Formula 1 theme is replaced with a Mariachi Version.
However, the Las Vegas GP has taken it to the next level. They have incorporated their culture of gambling and casinos into various aspects of the track and the pit building. The pit signs of the teams have been incorporated with the casino culture, leaving a characteristic mark in the minds of the viewers.
A Break from Tradition
The LV GP has done all this to bring a new flavour to their Formula 1 event. However, a certain decision was taken for completely different and sensitive reasons.
You may have noticed we used the term ‘pit building’ instead of the term ‘paddock’. This is because the Vegas GP will not be using this term for the first time in Formula 1 history.
The reason for this is not a gimmick or a marketing stunt. The Las Vegas GP Organizers, Liberty Media, and Formula 1 took the decision to protect the sentiments of the local people. You can read more in our previous article.
