Max Verstappen is dominating Formula 1 at the moment. Red Bull have given him a monster, and he is wringing every ounce of performance out of it. Meanwhile, McLaren have found something in their design that has clicked, and are now making a comeback. Lando Norris is back doing Lando Norris things at the front, and Oscar Piastri is impressing everyone as well.
“One of the best ever”, says Lando Norris
Lando Norris has been on the radar of Red Bull for a long time now. Christian Horner has admitted he tried to sign him twice. However, Lando Norris chose to stay with McLaren. Red Bull have enhanced their dominance under these new regulations and Sergio Perez has struggled. Therefore, rumours around the second seat at Red Bull continue to grow.

Lando Norris is very good friends with Max Verstappen. According to him, Max Verstappen is already one of the best ever to drive in Formula 1. However, he doesn’t feel scared to race alongside Max. Max Verstappen performs the same in any car although the results may vary according to Norris. Therefore, he would like to see where he stands compared to such an elite talent.
Red Bull like him too
Helmut Marko is a difficult man to impress. He has admitted he likes Lando Norris quite a few times. He is great friends with Max Verstappen as well. With Christian Horner admitting to trying to poach him from McLaren, this means all the major figures at Red Bull like him.
Currently, Max Verstappen is tied down to Red Bull till 2028. Sergio Perez has a contract till 2024, but Red Bull will not hesitate to oust him before it. Lando Norris’ contract with McLaren runs till the end of 2025. Should the stars align, Lando could find himself in that seat in 2025 or 2026.
