Heartbreak in 2022, Fallen Dreams in 2023
Ferrari had arguably the best car at the start of the new F1 regulations in 2022. They found themselves with a huge lead in both championships. But they fumbled and gave both away to Max Verstappen and Red Bull. 2023 was supposed to be better. But Ferrari took a step back, and have been playing catch up ever since.

New Upgrades on their way, focus on 2024
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Fred Vasseur laid down the timeline for the next upgrades. He said Ferrari will introduce their new upgrades in Qatar or Austin. This will leave them with 5 or 6 races to gauge their performance.
Fred Vasseur said that Ferrari has stopped its development on the SF-23. The development parts are in the pipeline. This means that all of their resources are now focused on their 2024 F1 challenger. The main focus is to make a car where the driver doesn’t always have to be on the limit. This is important given the frequent crashes Charles Leclerc has had this season trying to outperform the car.
According to Fred Vasseur, the October upgrades will be worth 4 tenths of a second. He also said that their 2024 car will be almost 8 tenths faster, and will develop further. We will see if these words can come true on track.

Charles Leclerc had to Readjust Expectations
Charles Leclerc said Ferrari had one expectation from the season: To perform better than in 2022. This meant winning the world championship. After the first round in Bahrain, where the Monegasque retired, Ferrari had reset its targets.
The Maranello outfit hasn’t achieved the results it wanted in the first half. Can it look to do any better in the rest of the season? Will Fred Vasseur be able to steer the ship in the right direction? Keep following us to find out.
