Formula 1: Back after a gap
The Australian Grand Prix is making its way to the Formula 1 calendar after two years. It was cancelled in the 2020 and 2021 seasons. In 2020, the race got cancelled just before the FP1 session. The reason was that one of McLaren’s team members had tested positive for Covid-19. However, McLaren then withdrew from the race. In 2021, it was again cancelled due to Covid-19 ‘restrictions and logistical challenges.’
Victoria will again be Australia’s home of international major events when it hosts the #AusGP from April 7-10 2022.
