Chevaucher’s offer comes after Vettel voiced his opinion on sustainable power and climate change. The DS Techeetah boss said, “Sebastian is very interested in environmental protection and has climate change in mind, just like we do in Formula E.”

Formula 1: Sebastian Vettel’s contract at Aston Martin will come to an end later this year. There is another rumour making rounds which says Vettel might retire at the end of the season. Normally, he likes to compete at the front in any series he is in, yet with the Aston Martin car off of the speed of the leaders, Vettel stands almost no chance of winning races.

Meanwhile, Formula 1 is very different from Formula E. The latter is an all-electric racing series whereas Formula 1 has internal combustion engines that are powered by fossil fuels. Vettel even wore a t-shirt at the Miami Grand Prix that read, “Miami 2060 – 1st Grand Prix Underwater – Act Now or Swim Later.”
Vettel further added, “Every time I step in the car, I love it. When I get out of the car, of course, I’m thinking is this something we should do, travel the world, ‘wasting’ resources? On the other hand, we are entertaining people, during Covid we were one of the first sports to start again and there were races back on.”

The grid has a large group of former F1 drivers on it like Jean-Eric Vergne, Pascal Wehrlein, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Antonio Giovinazzi too, while Vettel possibly joining would be a genuine push for the series.
