Formula 1 News: Williams’s new car, the FW44 Challenger: Williams are the last team in Formula 1 who have announced the date for the launch of their new car, the FW22 Challenger. It is designed on the basis of Formula 1’s new regulations, Follow InsideSport.IN for more Formula 1 News and Updates.
Williams will call their 2022 car the FW22 Challenger. It will be shown off in a digital event on February 15th at 1300 GMT.

This year Williams will have Nicholas Latifi and Alex Albon as their two drivers. Nicholas Latifi, who was involved in the Abu Dhabi aftermath last season, will be in his third season for Williams. Alex Albon will be making a comeback to the Formula 1 scene after being on the sidelines as Red Bull and AlphaTauri’s reserve driver.

He finished 21st in the 2020 season and 17th in the 2021 season. Whereas, Alex Albon last raced for Red Bull in 2020. Alex finished 7th with 105 points to his name.

Both the drivers along with Team Principal Jost Capito will be present to show off their new car. It will be the first car to be designed under the guidance of Technical Director Francois-Xavier Demaison. He has previously worked with Capito on Volkswagen’s all-conquering World Rally Championship program.

Meanwhile, the FW22 Challenger will be the first new Williams car to be unveiled since the passing of the team’s co-founder Sir Frank Williams. He sadly passed away last year in November, at the age of 79.
With the new set of regulations coming into existence from this year, Williams will try to compete for the midfield position. All eyes will be now on the 2 pre-season testings which will be in Barcelona and Bahrain.
