In the 2021 season, both the drivers had plenty of on-track battles and a few major collisions as well. The relationship between both the drivers heated up as the season progressed further. Tensions escalated in both the camps of Red Bull and Mercedes too.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, season’s finale ended in a huge controversy. However, it was Max Verstappen who clinched his first Formula 1 title from the hands of Lewis Hamilton. Max also won the Drivers’ Championship whereas Mercedes took the Constructors’ title.

Max said, “You can’t have that kind of drama each and every year. It’s not good for me and is also not healthy for anyone in the team (Both teams).”

Max has already achieved his goal of winning the Formula 1 title. He further explained that after winning it, nothing has changed in his life. “Not for me at least. Once I get home I prefer to do things which I did before becoming a World champion.”
Max Verstappen has already won his maiden Formula 1 title last year and prepares for the new season. He believes that he’ll be better equipped to deal with the pressures of a title fight next season.

It has already happened and I have done it. So when it gets tough or you’re having bad luck you deal with it easier than normal.”

The FIA is still conducting an investigation into the events of the title-decider in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Max has already dismissed the concerns about what the report will say when it comes out on 18th March.
Verstappen will be heading into the new era of Formula 1 with a new ruleset as the World Champion. Max will not go with the mindset in the further seasons trying to match Hamilton’s achievements. Meanwhile, Max has lots of time in his hands as he is 13 years younger than the seven times F1 winner, Hamilton.
“If I never get to seven or eight titles, it’s fine. You need a lot of luck to be in such a dominant position for a long time. I just want to enjoy it and I know that. When I get to the track, I still want to win.”
