The energy drinks company was the title sponsor of the Haas Formula 1 team ahead of the 2019 season. But their partnership ended mid-way through the year. The Rich Energy company ‘sacked’ Haas because of their poor performances on the track.
Last year, William Storey claimed that he was considering launching his own Formula 1 team in 2022. But, instead, he dropped that option and opted to sponsor an existing team. There is still no indication whether Rich Energy will return to Formula 1 this year.
Storey once again teased the energy drink company’s return to the motorsport by saying, “Privately also looking forward to the Rich Energy return.”
