Last year saw the most controversial end to the season finale in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The findings of an inquiry were shared on Monday at a meeting in London between the FIA and all the Formula 1 teams.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix saw Max Verstappen win his maiden Formula 1 title. It was heartbreak for all the Mercedes camp and even Lewis Hamilton. He was on the verge of winning his eighth Formula 1 title surpassing the great, Michael Schumacher.

But Mohammed Ben Sulayem has opted to wait to release the results. He is doing this because he wants to incorporate feedback from all the teams into the reforms.

The statement said, “The FIA president led detailed discussions on the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Feedback from the commission on matters raised will be incorporated into the president’s analysis. Meanwhile, he will publicly present news of structural changes and action plan in the coming days.”
The fallout of the season finale race at Abu Dhabi and Sulayem’s first and most conspicuous act as the new FIA president are two further reasons why he opted on taking more time.
Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull, and Toto Wolff, the team principal of Mercedes were both present at the meeting. Drivers from both teams went toe-to-toe last season and will again take center stage in the upcoming 2022 season.

Lewis Hamilton will be back at the grid after rumors that he is going to retire from motorsport. It was heartbreak for the Brit driver and he will put behind those events and will be fully charged for the 2022 season.
Whereas, Max Verstappen will be trying to defend his F1 title when the season starts in Bahrain from 20th March.
