Mick Schumacher outperformed his team-mate, Kevin Magnussen, on points in British and Austrian GP with an 8th and 6th finish.

Nico said “Mick has had difficult times, so we’re all thrilled that he’s finally achieved a fantastic breakthrough. He also mentioned that Mick had to face a lot of criticism.

Rosberg believes Mick Schumacher’s state of mind has improved since he earned his maiden Formula 1 points at the British GP earlier this month. Thus it is extremely helpful to him psychologically because he is now experiencing a positive mental spiral.

“He still needs time in his development, the past races have shown that. That’s why it would make sense for him to take his time before targeting a top team” added Rosberg.

Rosberg said, “We’ve also seen that with George Russell, who drove at Williams for three years and was then ready for the move up to Mercedes, there’s no need to rush”.

According to Rosberg, Schumacher has to be given time since he has a history of performing well in the second half of a season while competing in Formula Two and Formula Three.

Kevin Magnussen is Eleventh on the Driver’s Standings and ahead of his teammate Mick Schumacher despite Schumacher’s outperformance in the British and Austrian Grand Prix with an eighth and sixth finish and is fifteenth on the Drivers Standings.
