Formula 1: Max Verstappen takes a cheeky dig at rival Lewis Hamilton – The reigning Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen has taken a cheeky dig at rival Lewis Hamilton for his interest in buying the Premier League club, Chelsea. When Verstappen got to know about this consortium he voiced his opinion and questioned why an Arsenal fan would invest their money in a rival team, Chelsea. “I am a PSV fan and I would never buy Ajax. And if I was going to buy a football club I would want to be the full owner and to take the decisions myself, not own just a tiny percentage,” said Verstappen.

Max Verstappen has not enjoyed this season so far as he had to retire twice from just three races. He was looking for a comfortable P2 finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix but had to retire due to a fuel pump issue. But, he followed it with a win at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

However, he again was looking comfortable for a P2 finish at the Australian Grand Prix but retired halfway through the race due to a fuel leak issue. In this process, he lost out a handful of 36 points and sees himself down in the sixth position in the Drivers’ standings.

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton has also not had a good season this time around. He has just accumulated 28 points from three races and has just one podium finish to his name. Hamilton finished third in the Bahrain Grand Prix, thanks to Red Bull as both their cars had to retire.

The Brit driver then finished in the tenth spot in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and had a tough weekend throughout. But, he came back strongly in the Australian Grand Prix and finished fourth. Meanwhile, Hamilton sees himself fifth in the Drivers’ standings.

Hamilton and Verstappen will lock horns on the track this end of the week, with the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix occurring in Italy.
