Formula 1: Lewis Hamilton is worried about a development in the RED BULL camp: The seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton is worried about a development in the Red Bull camp after having a disastrous Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Helmut said that their car was struggling with the weight ahead of the 2022 campaign. It is ‘more difficult to tune’ than their newly formed rivals Ferrari. However, the improvements to the RB18 are just around the corner. Helmut said, “The Ferrari is a car that is always fast, in all conditions regardless of temperature or tyres.”

“Our car is definitely more difficult to tune, but we will lose some weight in Imola. That should give us a significant time advantage, time gain in other words.”

It was a 1-2 finish for Red Bull and Ferrari at the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Max Verstappen overtook Charles Leclerc in the latter stages of the race to win the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. After the disastrous start to the 2022 season for Red Bull, they have come out strongly.

Lewis Hamilton had a weekend to forget as he was eliminated after the Q1 session. It was his worst start since the 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Lewis was literally struggling for pace and managed a P10 finish.

It looks like Red Bull and Ferrari have got a hang of their 2022 car and Mercedes are well behind. Hamilton said, “We are so far off the guys ahead, it feels like a long way away. We need more grip, we need more power. We’re still really down on speed and it’s just not one fix, it’s several things.”

Having dominated the Turbo-hybrid era in Formula 1 for eight long years, Mercedes are struggling to adapt to the new regulations. They had won eight Constructors’ championships on the trot. However, the loss for the Silver Arrows teams has proven to be a gain for Ferrari and Red Bull. Both the teams have started the 2022 season on a great note.

Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen are the two drivers who have started the 2022 campaign on a high. Both the drivers have a victory to their name. Even Helmut praised Charles saying, “I think we are in a good position, but we have an almost equal opponent in Ferrari. Leclerc is driving absolutely flawless this season, so it will be an exciting year.”

Helmut further added, “It’s all about who can get the car set up in the best possible way. The track has suited us in the past, but it is difficult. It will probably be particularly exciting again.”

The third race of the 2022 season will be in Australia. The Australian Grand Prix will take place from 8th to 10th April.
