The Brit driver is still not losing hope as he knows how much hard work each and everybody is putting in at the Silver Arrows. “There was a long way back. Earlier this year, I definitely wasn’t sure we would ever get a win in this car,” Hamilton said.

“But that was… obviously not the way we like to think but obviously the feeling like ‘Jeez, this is a long way to catch up’, knowing the progress that everyone makes. But definitely, hugely encouraging, particularly for a long time we would make changes and it wouldn’t do what it said it was going to do and improve the car,” Hamilton added.

“It was a good step in Barcelona [when Mercedes introduced their first car upgrade] and then we had several difficult races following it. We had this last race, or the last two races, that were quite strong. That really is encouraging us that there is potential in the car and with a little bit more digging and a little bit more hard work, we can get closer to winning a race. So I truly believe that we can get a race win this year,” Hamilton further added.

At the point when the Hybrid Era started in 2014, the Silver Arrows adjusted quickly and sent off an extraordinary run of accomplishments. They have won every one of the last eight constructors’ titles with Hamilton at the core of that accomplishment for the Brackley-based group.

However, the story is entirely different now after the most recent significant change in vehicle plans. Mercedes headed down some unacceptable path this time, and have spent the season to date making up for the lost time to any semblance of Red Bull and Ferrari, who adjusted much better.

Formula 1: Mercedes W13 challenger has shown immense improvements after being hit severely by Porpoising in the first half of the F1 2022 season.

Hamilton has succeeded somewhere around one race each season for the beyond 15 years, yet will be yet to broaden that record in 2022. However, with Mercedes improving and shutting the hole to the front of the grid, the Brit is declining to surrender trust at this time.

Meanwhile, there has even been discussion that success for Mercedes could come as soon as possible at the end of the week’s French Grand Prix. Even, Red Bull boss Christian Horner conceded he accepts the Silver Arrows are ‘there or somewhere around there’, while ex- Renault racer Jolyon Palmer said Hamilton and George Russell are ‘surprisingly strong contenders’ for the success at Paul Ricard.
