The team of Mercedes have acknowledged all the mistakes that we made in the last season and where adamant to make a better version of the previous model.

This season, Hamilton crossed the line P5 at the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix. Not happy with the results, The F1 driver speaks about the type of cars he has roof throughout all the seasons. He clearly states that he knows what a car needs and what it doesn’t.

He believes that the Mercedes team have to do some serious work on the model. Even the team has slightly admitted on the grounds of failure.
They have tried to highlight the flaws in the car, as well as trying to come up with solutions to help them pick up the pace in the track soon. Mercedes, who struggled with their design last season, decided to stick with it. Now with the Main driver who is facing the setbacks, the team principal stated about changing the entire car.

Hamilton has faith in the team about closing the gap to not only runaway leaders Red Bull, but also to get the better of Ferrari and Aston Martin, which they could not do in Bahrain either.

On the other hand, Fernando Alonso, the other main driver of the team has stated his former teammate Lewis Hamilton as “the best” driver in Formula 1 right now – but claims he wouldn’t be winning without Mercedes.

With the drawback situation that they are facing at Mercedes, Hamilton says as a collective they are going to have to turn it around.

Hamilton has also recently expressed his loyalty towards Mercedes-benz. Even after the downfall in the pre season testing he is willing to stick by them and bring all the changes that are required in the model to get back in the pace.

“Last year, I told them the issues that are with the car,” said Hamilton. “Like, I’ve driven so many cars in my life, so I know what a car needs, I know what a car doesn’t need.”

“And I think it’s really about accountability, it’s about owning up and saying ‘yeah, you know what, we didn’t listen to you, it’s not where it needs to be and we’ve got to work.”

“We’ve got to look into the balance through the corners, look at all the weak points and just huddle up as a team, that’s what we do.”

“We’re still multi World Champions you know, it’s just they haven’t got it right this time, they didn’t get it right last year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get it right moving forwards.”
