Formula 1: It is a make or break year for Jehan Daruvala in Formula 2: Indian racer Jehan Daruvala heads into his third season in Formula 2 while racing for Prema Racing. Jehan said, “I can’t wait to go racing again. Getting some time off at the end of last year was good. And I’m now raring to get the season underway. Bahrain is where I took my first Formula 2 win. It’s a track that suits my driving style. And I’m pretty sure we can do well there again.”

“The competition will be tough but we came away in a strong position from testing. I’m feeling at home with the team. And we go into the weekend confident that we can get some big results.”

Jehan’s aim is to win the title. However, he finished 12th in the 2020 season and seventh in the 2021 season. He had spent two years with Carlin. But, now the Red Bull junior has moved to Prema Racing, the reigning champions.

The 23-year old had a great outing at Bahrain track after winning his first Formula 2 race at the venue in 2020. It was his debut season when he achieved this feat. Meanwhile, he finished on the podium in the 2021 season at the same track.

Daruvala has set the second-fastest time of pre-season testing here in Bahrain. As he heads into the weekend being one of the favorites to win it. Team Prema Racing have won in three of the last five season in Bahrain.

Jehan Daruvala will hit the track on Friday for practice and qualifying sessions. The sprint race will take place on Saturday and the race will take place on Sunday. The race will start before Sunday’s big event, the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix.
