The pundits are currently contemplating whether the 37-year-old will actually want to adapt to a full time of torment in the gravely ‘Porpoising’ silver car at this stage of his career, or whether he will find an exit route and join a team with better prospects. “It’s a question (Hamilton leaving Mercedes) that will be raised,” said Villeneuve.

Formula 1: Lewis Hamilton has had a disastrous start to the 2022 Formula 1 season.

George Russell has been near perfect when it comes to handling the W13 challenger. It is simply because he had driven a more complicated car at Williams. So, he knows how to cope with the Mercedes car. However, Hamilton is reeling and it seems he is not able to cope with the car.

Jacques thinks Toto Wolff has a difficult job ahead of him as he needs to figure out what’s important for him and the team. “As Toto Wolff, do you choose your megastar, your poster boy, the record-breaking champion with the international image who costs you a mega sum of money? Or do you develop the car for the promising talent?” he further explained.
