The poor performance in the opening Grand Prix in Bahrain Was a clear indication that they made a huge mistake. Although the team was determined not to repeat any mistakes, Maybe sticking to the same model turned out to be a big mistake. The team was very adamant about finding out solutions.

However, seems like it did not go as planned. Even the Mercedes boss, Toto Wolff Admitted that the team had got it all wrong. They had admitted earlier in an interview, If plan A fails, they will have no other option but to change the path.

Wolff was interviewed by Sky Sports at the weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Wolff mentioned the team’s plan update for the coming week.
It was clear that their Plan B means a new card design. If the team has changed its direction, then we all expect something good to come up soon. In previous interviews, Hamilton did mention how the model is not perfect.

He wanted the team to come up with new plans to improve the model. Undoubtedly, Hamilton wanted the pace in the car up to the mark.
The Mercedes boss mentions how the car is going to look different based on the team’s decision. Mercedes has always been about learning from their mistakes and recovering from them. In the interview, Wolff was talking about the cost caps that were implemented.

“We were bitten by that, that’s clear at this stage, but I don’t want to ever say that the cost cap doesn’t allow us to catch back up – it’s more difficult but we simply have to. ”, says Wolff.

The Mercedes boss also stated, “The moment we decide, which we’ve done, which direction to go, where we want to have the car, we’re just getting on with it and pushing hard with that one design philosophy.”
