Formula 1 –Red Bull once again outspeed Mercedes in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix which led Lewis Hamilton to declare it the fastest car he has ever seen. Hamilton, starting p7, while Verstappen was in 15th place due to a driveshaft malfunction during qualifying. However, by Lap 12, Verstappen had overtaken Hamilton on the pit straight and was able to pull ahead, leaving other top-performing cars like Mercedes, Aston Martin, and Ferrari behind. Hamilton was amazed by the car’s speed and believed that even his highly dominant Mercedes vehicles from 2014-2021 were not as far ahead as Verstappen’s Red Bull car. “I’ve definitely never seen a car so fast,” Hamilton told reporters after finishing fifth at Jeddah. “When we were fast, we weren’t that fast.
“That’s the fastest car I think, I’ve seen, especially compared to the rest. I don’t know how or why but he came past me with serious speed”, admitted Hamilton.

Prior to the race, Hamilton had estimated that Red Bull had an advantage of one and a half seconds per lap. Hamilton’s teammate George Russell, who finished fourth and was briefly promoted to third before being demoted back to fourth after a review, had already predicted that Red Bull could win every race after the Bahrain race.
“You have to acknowledge what Red Bull has accomplished,” said the British driver on Sunday.
“The gap they have over the rest of the field is probably larger than anything we’ve seen since Mercedes in 2014. It’s a significant gap, and everyone needs to continue working hard to figure out how to close it”, admitted Russell.
