Motorsport.com reports that Ferrari’s plan was to bring fresh packages to Spain but now they have decided to use some of the upgrades in the Miami Grand Prix itself at the start of May.

There’ll be an increase in the power that ensures the new hybrid and also the electric strategies too, while they will also observe and keep a check on the reliability parameters.

The Scuderia team had time until the end of the summer to develop their solutions. However, Ferrari wanted the solutions quickly so that they can bridge the gap between Max Verstappen’s Red Bull and themselves. Besides the boys in red, other Ferrari-powered cars in Haas and Alfa Romeo could also benefit from this decision.

The current year’s title is starting off on a practically ideal foot for Ferrari with Charles Leclerc taking two of the initial three race wins. He secured a P2 finish in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz has likewise two times been on the podium.

The Monegasque driver currently tops the Drivers’ standings table by 34 points, while Ferrari have a lead of 39 points in the Constructors’ standings. With the new updates, it is looking likely that the Italian team will emerge as an unstoppable force this season.

On the aerodynamic side, Ferrari are supposed to trial another floor at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in the expectation of curing their porpoising issues. They are hoping that with the new floor and the upgraded engine, they can build their advantage over Red Bull and Mercedes before last year’s forces to be reckoned with resolve their issues.
