“Our drivers are free to fight. And I am really looking forward and enjoying that they are battling for a good place, and first place, if possible.”

Charles Leclerc has been in superb form for the Scuderia team as he won two races out of three. Firstly, he won the Bahrain Grand Prix and then the Australian Grand Prix. Carlos Sainz is third in the Drivers’ standings and 38 points behind his teammate Leclerc.

Formula 1: Charles Leclerc tops the charts in the Drivers’ standings with Carlos Sainz in third place.

Leclerc is a clear title candidate at this beginning phase of the season. Meanwhile, Sainz’s DNF in Australia last weekend has cut him somewhat afloat from his Scuderia colleague. Carlos Sainz had two podium finishes before the Australian Grand Prix.

So far till now, Ferrari looks like they are the team to beat in the 2022 season. Ferrari’s F1-75 seems, by all accounts, to be flourishing in all circumstances and circuit types up to this point this season, almost certainly stirring up a lot of joy for Leclerc.

Leclerc said, “It is a very strong car for sure. I think until now it’s fitting my driving well. I understood the car very early in the season and I think that is helping me for now.”

“This has been a good surprise. But yeah, we need to keep pushing obviously. For now, it’s going extremely well.”

Round four of the Formula 1 takes place at Ferrari’s home in Imola. The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix starts on 22nd April and the race is scheduled for 24th April.
