It has been reported by AS that Alonso will procure £17.8 million (20m euros) each year with the group. Moreover, the arrangement is a three-year one which will see Alonso and Aston Martin both save the opportunity to survey the relationship after each season, with his agreement being depicted as a “one in addition to one in addition to one that can be extended.”

Meanwhile, the German driver Sebastian Vettel joined Instagram last week and also announced his retirement. He posted a video that reported his retirement from the sport after the end of the 2022 season, pulling the drape down on a sparkling career that saw him win four continuous world titles with Red Bull from 2010-2013.

Vettel’s retirement left an open seat at Aston Martin from next season, with Lawrence Stroll not burning through any time in getting another partner for his son, Lance Stroll.

Formula 1: Lance Stroll is the second driver for Aston Martin who will be driving alongside Fernando Alonso in the next season.

Meanwhile, back-to-back F1 title holder Fernando Alonso joins the group on a multi-year deal as his seat is not ensured next season at Alpine, with the French group enthused about getting young driver Oscar Piastri into Formula One.

Alonso obviously has a lot to give the game, so it’s possibly the situation that he bounced before he was pushed so he could carry on his career in the sport with Otmar Szafnauer affirming Piastri will be a Formula One driver one year from now.

However, reports have been made that Alpine were able to give him a two-year deal, meaning Piastri’s Formula One possibility could not have possibly been at Alpine. That goes against the rumours that Alonso was careful about focusing on his ongoing team since they were just giving him an additional year.
