At the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last year, Perez produced a magnificent performance as he held off Lewis Hamilton. The Brit driver tried his best to pass Perez but couldn’t do so. However, it helped Verstappen massively as he won his maiden F1 title.

The Mexican had first signed a one-year contract with Red Bull. But, looking at his performances the deal was extended for another year. Meanwhile, the Mexican wants to commit his future to Red Bull for much longer.
