Ferrari has the most illustrious history in the sport of Formula 1. They have been racing since the sport began, and have hardly missed any races. For the Las Vegas GP, Ferrari has unveiled a special livery for their car. This livery incorporates a lot of white with the traditional Ferrari red. This is a nod to the Golden Era of the sport, where Ferrari enjoyed a ton of success with drivers like Niki Lauda, Mario Andretti, Clay Regazzoni, and more.
Inspired by the 312B
The new Ferrari colours are nearly the same when compared to the iconic Ferrari 312B. Mario Andretti used that Ferrari in 1971. The rear wings of that car were also white, just like the SF-23 at the Las Vegas GP.
Aside from Mario Andretti’s 312B, Ferrari kept a lot of white in their cars through the 70s.

Illustrious Years
The 70s were the golden age of Formula 1 in the United States. The sport had multiple venues throughout the country. We had the Las Vegas GP back in the 1980s as well.
Ferrari enjoyed a lot of success in this era, donned in their red and white livery. Niki Lauda won the championship in 1975 and 1977. Niki Lauda and Carlos Reutemann won at Watkins Glen while Clay Regazzoni won at Long Beach. The great Gilles Villeneuve scored a double on American soil in 1979 by winning at both Watkins Glen and Long Beach.
Difficult Stints in White
Ferrari slowly stopped using white in their liveries after the 1970s. However, every time it made a comeback, the results were underwhelming.
In 1993, they had a red and white livery. After a tricky campaign for both drivers, it returned to all red in 1994.
Recently in 2016, Ferrari tried to incorporate a little white into their SF-16H. However, it went winless in that campaign and the white was dumped again.
