It was Max Verstappen’s third consecutive victory of the 2022 season as he won the Spanish Grand Prix. Moreover, it was the second time that the Dutch driver won the race in Barcelona after winning in 2016.

F1 Spanish GP: PERFECT DAY! Red Bull in seventh HEAVEN in Spain, claims FIRST place in Constructors’ Championship while Max Verstappen snatches P1 in Drivers’ Championship
Sergio Perez had a great day in the office after securing a P2 finish in Spain. He led from the front in some parts of the race but finally gave his position to his teammate Verstappen. However, this led to a frenzy in the Austrian team’s group as they secured the lead in the Drivers’ and Constructors’ table.
It was heartbreak for Ferrari as Carlos Sainz first spun his car on the track and dropped positions. But, he fought hard throughout the race and claimed the fourth position overall. It was his best finish overall in the Spanish Grand Prix. However, he would be disappointed after not securing a podium finish at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

F1 Spanish GP: Charles Leclerc had to retire from the Spanish Grand Prix.On the other hand, Charles Leclerc had to retire from the race after having a power unit failure. He played a similar prank on the team radio while on the last lap of the Bahrain Grand Prix, but this time things were quite serious for the Monegasque driver.

He told his team on the radio that he lost the power of his F1-75 challenger which meant that he had to retire from the race. This was his first DNF in the 2022 season and with this Ferrari lost its stronghold at the top in both Drivers’ and Constructor’s tables.
Round seven of the Formula 1 2022 season moves to Monaco. The event starts on 27th May and the race is scheduled for 29th May.
