1. The infamous Lewis Hamilton-Nico Rosberg crash
After a decent beginning for both Mercedes drivers in the 2016 Spanish GP, Nico Rosberg passed teammate Lewis Hamilton in turn 1. Getting through the following couple of corners, Nico Rosberg’s car entered an incorrect engine mode because of a mistake the German had made on the formation lap.

Meanwhile, Rosberg was slower than Hamilton emerging from turn 3, and the latter opted for a sly overtake. However, it turned out to be fatal the two drivers ended up colliding, as both Mercedes cars ended in the gravel and could not finish the race. This infamous collision started a rift between the two drivers.
2. Romain Grosjean crash
At the 2018 Spanish Grand Prix, French driver Romain Grosjean failed to keep a grip on his Haas around the turn three while endeavouring to pass partner Kevin Magnussen and created a fog of smoke as he spun across the track. Unsighted, Renault’s Hulkenberg and Toro Rosso’s Gasly crushed into the blasted Haas with every one of the three vehicles experiencing broad harm.

3. Heikki Kovalainen’s massive accident
McLaren has revealed that a mistake made in the preparation of its wheels for the 2008 Spanish Grand Prix prompted Heikki Kovalainen to experience a fast contact with the tyre divider while getting ready to challenge for triumph in Barcelona.

At the 2008 Spanish Grand Prix, Kovalainen was driving at around 145mph when the left front wheel seemed to blast entering turn nine at the Circuit de Catalunya. The car subsequently went onto the gravel prior to crashing under the tyre divider.

5. Lewis Hamilton’s suspension failure
A suspension disappointment in the 2010 Spanish Grand Prix on the penultimate lap sent Hamilton’s McLaren drifting into the gravel alongside the third turn, as the vehicle lost its front-left wheel as it crashed into the crash barrier. Meanwhile, Hamilton was unharmed and got out of the car safely.
