He will be joining the fab five drivers who have accomplished this record in the pinnacle of motorsport and become the sixth driver to do so. The list of drivers includes some big names like Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso, Rubens Barrichello, and Jenson Button.

Then comes Alpine’s Fernando Alonso, who will overtake Raikkonen later this season. He won two F1 titles with Renault in the year 2005 and 2006. Currently, he has 347 (344 Race Starts) to his name. Alonso will also overtake Raikkonen if he starts in the remaining races this season.

Jenson Button is the fifth driver who has his name on this elite list of drivers with more than 300 race entries. Currently, he has 309 (306 Race Starts) to his name and is tied with Michael Schumacher. Meanwhile, he won his only F1 title in the year 2009 with the Brawn-Mercedes F1 team.

Lastly, Lewis Hamilton, who holds a number of records to his name in the sport is going to be the sixth driver who will join this elite list. The Brit has equaled Michael Schumacher’s record for most F1 titles with seven to his name. The Mercedes driver currently has 299 (299 Race Starts) and if he starts every Grand Prix this year, then he will break both Schumacher and Button’s records.
