F1 Austrian GP LIVE: Max Verstappen wins the Sprint Race: Red Bull’s Max Verstappen wins the second sprint race of the season at the Red Bull Ring while both the Ferrari drivers finished in the top three. Charles Leclerc took the second spot and was followed by Carlos Sainz in third place. Moreover, Sergio Perez jumped positions and took the fifth spot overall. Max Verstappen in the home race of Red Bull took the win of the second sprint race of the season after starting the race on the pole position. Then came both the Ferrari drivers who battled it out on the track for the second-place spot as Charles Leclerc claimed the second position and Carlos Sainz finished third overall.

Mercedes’ George Russell finished fourth overall as was followed by Sergio Perez in the fifth spot as he jumped positions and finished in the points. Kevin Magnussen took home the seventh spot and was followed by Lewis Hamilton in the eighth spot. The Brit driver had a great fight with Mick Schumacher for the eighth spot as Schumacher finished ninth overall. Valtteri Bottas had to settle for a tenth-place finish.

Lando Norris had a good outing today as he claimed the eleventh spot and was followed by his teammate Daniel Ricciardo in the twelfth spot. Lance Stroll had to settle for a thirteenth place finish as Guanyu Zhou claimed the fourteenth spot. Zhou stopped on the track when the formation lap was ending and the race start had to be aborted.

Pierre Gasly, who spun on Turn 1 had to settle for the fifteenth spot and was followed by Alex Albon in the sixteenth spot. Meanwhile, Albon has been given a five-second penalty. Yuki Tsunoda claimed the seventeenth spot and was followed by Nicholas Latifi in the eighteenth spot.

Sebastian Vettel was hit by Albon and went onto the gravel which meant he dropped positions and finished last in the nineteenth spot. Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso was the only driver who didn’t start the race as the Spaniard missed out on a handful of points.
