F1 2023 Car Launch Date: F1 Car Launch Timings – Formula-1 fans have been waiting for the dates of the car launch after the last season ended on 20th November with Abu Dhabi GP. All 10 teams have announced the date for the car launch with the new season kicking off on Friday (3rd March 2023) at Bahrain GP. Defending champions of the Constructors title Red Bull are launching their new car on 3rd February in New York. The most successful team of F-1 with 15 titles, Ferrari has scheduled their car launch on 14th February at Maranello headquarters in Italy. The eight-time champion Mercedes will launch their W14 car for the 2023 season on February 15 at Silverstone in the UK.

Major regulation changes for 2023 F1 season-

The new season will see minimum car weight drops by 798 to 796 kg from last season, the edge of the floor has been raised to 15mm for better aerodynamics, and teams altering their gearbox design. FIA has made several changes for drivers’ safety in the coming season with the side mirror being made larger to reduce blind spots to strengthen the car roof.

Haas F1 team was last to announce the launch date and will be launching their car on the pole position among all the grid on Tuesday (31st January). Christian Horner managed Red Bull to be next on the lineup on the 3rd of February followed by Mercedes partner team Williams on the 6th of February with the ‘season launch’ event.

The day after Williams’ launch, Valtteri Bottas’ driven Alfa Romeo announced that it will reveal its new car in Zurich on February 7th. Alpha Tauri showing off his new occurrence on 11th February in New York like Red Bull. Followed by the Aston Martin car launch event two days later at Silverstone. Ferrari is coming with his new car on 14th February in Maranello, Italy. Mercedes is chasing Ferrari the very next day for the upcoming season kick-off event.  Alpha Tauri (Alpine) is showing their new car on February 16th.

Haas on 31st January: The US-based team was last to announce and took the pole position in launching their ‘VF-23’ car on 31st January. Haas will be launching their first car with the new sponsor ‘Money Gram’. Last season Guenther Steiner’s managed team finished in 8th position with 37 points. Nico Hulkenberg will be returning to F 1 after sitting out for the last three seasons, he will drive Haas car along with Kevin Magnussen.

Red Bull on Feb 3: Defending champions are the first to launch the car in the new season, Red Bull will showcase the successor of the RB18 car in New York. The 5-time champions have broken Mercedes 8 time winning streak in the last season. The Austrian-based team won the title comfortably with a gap of over 200 points. The two-time champion Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will be driving the Red Bull cars in 2023.

Williams on Feb 6: The Grove-based team Williams alongside their two drivers Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will showcase their new car and get up for the 2023 season at the launch event. The nine-time champion team will show their livery and drivers will talk about the coming season at the launch event.  Williams is coming to 2023 with a new boss as Josh Capito has departed after finishing in the 10th spot at the Constructors title of last season’s standings.

Alpha Romeo on Feb 7:  Sauber will launch their new car C-43. The swiss based team will be with the unchanged driver lineup with Valtteri Botas and Zhou Guanyu for the 2023 season. The Alpha Romeo team will be with a new principal Andreas Seidl in the upcoming season. Under Ferrari-bound Frederic Vasseur’s administration, Alpha Romeo finished in the 6th position in the constructors’ standings last season.

Alpha Tauri on Feb 11: Red Bull-owned Italy-based team will be launching their AT-04 car in New York on February 11th.Alpha Tauri livery event will take place alongside New York fashion week. Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda is joined by the rookie Nyck de Vries for the former ‘Toro Rosso’ team.

Aston Martin on Feb 13: The two-time champion Fernando Alonso will be replacing the four-time title holder Sebastian Vettel for UK based team. The German race driver Vettel retired from the F-1 circuit last season after completing 16 years with 53 race victories. Aston Martin was the first team to announce their car launch event among the line-up. Lance Stroll will be driving alongside Spaniard Alonso.

Mclaren on Feb 13: The eight-time champion team is launching their new car with a neck-to-neck tussle alongside Aston Martin. The Surrey-based team. Mclaren’s new car of the season is reported to be named MCL37. Lando Norris will be driving Mclaren’s car for the fifth season alongside rookie Oscar Piastri.

Ferrari on Feb 14: The 16-time constructors’ title champion team will be launching their new car for the season on Valentine’s day. The fans of the Scuderia team are excited as it will be the 73rd year for their side in the Formula 1 World Championship. It is speculated that the red team is making the lightest car for the 2023 season of all. For the third consecutive year, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will be driving for the Ferrari in 2023.

Mercedes on Feb 15:  The 8-time champion UK-based team is chasing Ferrari for the launch event as it was in the constructors’ title championship the last season. Mercedes’s eight-time title-winning streak was broken in the 2022 season by Red Bull, the Toto Wolff-managed team finished in the third spot in the title race behind Ferrari with 515 points. The brand-new ‘W-14 car will be driven by seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton alongside George Russell.

Alpine on Feb 16: Formerly named Renault, is launching their new car named ‘AF523’ behind Mercedes. The Enstone-based team finished fourth in the championship after Mercedes with 173 points. The departure of Fernando Alonso means all french drivers line up for Alpine in the 2023 season with Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon taking the main seats.

F1 holds its biggest calendar in 2023 with 24 races for the new season exceeding last season’s 22 races. The biggest Formula one season will see a race being held on Saturday for the first time in history at Las Vegas Grand Prix. USA will be marshaling three races in their country with the Las Vegas GP.

The formula 1 2023 season will see Lewis Hamilton completing a decade with the Mercedes team, the seven-time champion will surely be looking to surpass Ferrari’s veteran Michael Schumacher’s record this time. The flying dutchman Max Verstappen was way ahead of his imminent in the last season with 146 points gap. Surely F1 fans will be hoping for a close battle for the title race this season.
