Formula 1: Lewis Hamilton turns producer: The seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton has been employed as a producer to work on a new F1 film, which is set to be made by Apple Studios. Pitt will have a role of a veteran driver who emerges from retirement to coach a youthful racer as his partner. The 58-year-old is supposed to be a major motorsport fan and has gone to various Grands Prix in the past. Meanwhile, he formally started the 84th version of the 24 Hours Of Le Mans race in 2016.

Meanwhile, famous sports and media talent manager Penni Thow will take over the duties of an executive producer. Hamilton and Thow have previously worked together after the F1 hotshot collaborated with the Canadian last year to assist him with building his Project 44 business.

The film is set to be directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also made the recently released Top Gun: Maverick, another film that features Tom Cruise. It was the film from where Cruise got recognition and the limelight. Moreover, Top Gun: Maverick screenwriter Ehren Kruger has apparently written the screenplay for the F1 film.
In March, Apple likewise handled the privileges to a narrative about Hamilton’s pivotal life and recognized career in Formula One. However, no dates have been confirmed for the shooting and when it will be released.
Hamilton, in the meantime, is not new to the big screen and had appearances in front of the camera in Cars 2 and 3 and Zoolander 2.
