“It’s always one day at a time. I do like what I do. I feel energized. I am grateful for having the hunger. We’ll see what the future has in store for me. No. 8 would mean everything. It’s impossible o know what the future holds. Doing the impossible will be great. It would mean the whole world for me and my family,” said Lewis Hamilton.

Brazil 2021 was my best drive. I didn’t know I had it in me. I don’t remember every race. I remember my first Grand Prix win. I remember my father smiling after that. I knew I had made him proud,” said Hamilton.

Hamilton is seeking his eighth title and with the F1 2022 season starting next week, Mercedes AMG’s chief driver Hamilton spoke about what to expect from the first race. “Bahrain would be tough. It will be better in the race as it will be during the evening. There were quite a few cars that looks fast like Alfa Romeo and Valtteri was driving pretty fast. Red Bull was ridiculously fast and so was Ferrari. But we are the best team (laughs).” F1 2022 season begins on 18th March with the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Talking about his favourite title win among his seven championships, Lewis Hamilton said, “I didn’t enjoy the first title win. There were so many things that were involved and it went by in a flash. The last one was my favourite. There were so many people who didn’t believe me, said I was a failure. But I kept believing in myself. keep challenging yourself. Don’t be okay with what you have. You can always progress.

“I want more people from diverse backgrounds to get into the sport. I was the only person with colour to be here and be in the forefront. Formula 1 has to look diverse in the future. It is better for success moving forward. The barriers must be pushed and young talented kids should be promoted,” he added.
