Dmitry Mazepin is said to be a close associate of President Vladimir Putin. One of the President’s allies, Sergei Chemezov, has been a chairman within the company for several years. There are questions looming over Formula one participating in the Russian Grand Prix. Russia had invaded Ukraine on Thursday.
To my fans and followers – it’s a difficult time and I am not in control over a lot of what is being said and done. I’m choosing to focus on what I CAN control by working hard and doing my best for my @HaasF1Team . My deepest thanks for your understanding and support. 🙏

Several drivers have come in support as they will not be participating in the Russian Grand Prix. The veteran Sebastian Vettel was the first who said I’ll not take part in the Russian Grand Prix. The reigning champion, Max Verstappen backed his stand and wants the event to be cancelled.

Max added, “I think when a country is at war it’s not correct to race there, that’s for sure. But it’s not only what I think, it’s the whole paddock that is going to decide what we are going to do next.”

The Formula one CEO Stefano Domenicali will meet the 10 team principals on Thursday evening to discuss about the Russian Grand Prix. The race at Russia was supposed to happen on September 25th at the Sochi Autodrom.
Haas were the only team last year who were not able to score even a single point. They ended their season with zero points as their focus was on the 2022 car. Hopefully, they will make amends this year and try to reach the midfield in the positions.
