Apart from lack of pace and other performance-related factors, Mercedes can take out of Russell’s performances on the track as a positive front. He was signed by Mercedes before the start of this year’s season as he took Valtteri Bottas’ seat. Since then, he has proved everybody wrong and is now building his case at the Silver Arrows.
The season opener saw started on a high note for him as he took a P4 finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix. He then, later on, finished fifth in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and was looking like he is nearing a podium finish.
Now six races in the top five! 😃

Formula 1: George Russell after finishing third in the Spanish Grand Prix.He should thank Williams for his three-year stint as he drove a very uncompetitive car for them. It is because of this very reason that he is able to handle the W13 challenger beautifully. He is outpacing his teammate Lewis Hamilton and sees himself fourth in the Drivers’ standings with 84 points.
