Alpine’s Esteban Ocon has stated that he is determined to do all he can to keep his home Grand Prix on the F1 calendar. “I am very happy to discover new circuits. I will do everything I can to try to keep the French GP on the calendar. It’s very special for us to go there every year,” he said.

The other French driver in F1, Alpha Tauri’s Pierre Gasly also spoke in the defense of racing at Paul Ricard. “As a Frenchman, I will always support the Grand Prix de France. The motivation, the energy, the atmosphere, it is something that you can only feel in your native country,” said Gasly.
There have been 61 title Grand Prix’s in France, across different venues. The likes of Reims, Rouen, Dijon, Le Mans, Paul Ricard, and Magny Cours.
It has been won seven times by French drivers between Jean-Pierre Jabouille, Alain Prost, and Rene Arnoux. However, it faces annihilation indeed because of Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali’s aggressive arrangement venture into new business sectors.
Domenicali said, “I think there is potential to go to 24 (races per season). I would say there is potential to go to 30. In terms of the interest, we see all around the world. Formula 1 will have three races in the United States from next year. The Miami Grand Prix debuts this year with the Las Vegas Grand Prix debuting next year. The third race in the United States will feature the Austin Grand Prix.
