Lauda passed Away in 2019 and since then the German racing team Has been driving with one Red Star on the car in memory of Niki Lauda.

“I’m having to think at what would he have said, and how would he have positioned [things], and the two of us worked well together in that sense that sometimes oversimplification can lead you straight to the results,” Wolff said.
He said Lauda used to be present In the paddock and Hindi Mercedes garage as well. Lauda Was a guiding light to the Mercedes squad. Wolff Mentioned how Lauda would simplify things to really what mattered.
Wolff outlined his goals for the remainder of the 2023 season after revealing that Mercedes has committed to a concept modification as part of their preparations to address the W14’s difficulties.
He stated “The goals: I’d like to win every race, but that’s not realistic.”
Even after the Mercedes team went down “a dead-end street” with their 2023 design, we are expecting the new design to turn the table.
The team principal also stated, “The goals are that, based on the understanding we have now, over the next iterations of updates and learning, we can shave off a lot of performance deficit, because now we know and now we have all taken a decision in which direction to go.”
