“The title that slipped through his fingers against Verstappen last year was perhaps his last chance to be the sole record world champion,” Berger told Speed Week.

“If it doesn’t work out this year and possibly next year, then his career could be over. After so many races, so much dominance and so many successes, I can imagine that in this situation the desire is lost.”
Another major problem for Lewis would be his new Mercedes partner George Russell who has performed better than Hamilton currently in the ongoing F1 2022 season. “That will soon get on Lewis’ nerves,” Berger said.
As for hamilton, the seven-time world champion did hit back at his critics by claiming that he is indeed making a masterpiece and he will decide when to call it quits.

Mercedes has had a disastrous start in F1 2022 season as per their standards. The Silver Arrows are yet to resolve their porpoising issue which accounts for a loss of speed in their car in the straight portions of the track.
Mercedes will be bringing upgrades to their car in the upcoming Miami GP and will look to get themselves involved in the competition for the constructors. Ferrari currently leads the Constructor’s Championship with 124 points followed by Red Bull with 113 points. Mercedes stands third on the list with 77 points.
Problems could still rise for Mercedes as their competitive rivals Ferrari are also keen on bringing upgrades to their car. “We will bring some new products to Miami,” announced Ferrari’s Mattia Binotto.
“We will adapt the car to the right level of downforce with other wings, but there will be a lot more new items on the car when we get back to Europe.”
