However, it seems that they have realized that these plans may not be enough to close the gap on their rivals. Therefore, Ferrari has come up with a solution that involves poaching personnel from other teams. This is a common practice in Formula 1, and it seems that Ferrari is now ready to replicate the model of success adopted by Aston Martin.

Dan Fallows, who was previously with Red Bull, played a significant part in Aston Martin’s recent success. Fallows is regarded as one of the best aerodynamicists in the sport and was instrumental in helping Aston Martin achieve their first pole position in over a decade. Ferrari has reportedly hired two engineers who recently left Red Bull, and they will join the team in 2024.

While their names have not been disclosed, Corriere dello Sport revealed that they are experienced engineers who have been on gardening leave since leaving Red Bull. It remains to be seen how much of a difference these engineers will make, but Ferrari is hopeful that they will help the team close the gap on their rivals.

In 2022, Ferrari got off to a good start with two wins by Charles Leclerc in the first three races. However, Red Bull quickly overcame their struggles and developed a car that broke several records.

This year, Red Bull has won every race, while Ferrari has not managed to achieve a podium finish. Ferrari’s team principal, Frederic Vasseur, recently provided an update on the team’s development plans, stating that they are adjusting the direction of their development. Vasseur also took a dig at Red Bull, stating that he doesn’t believe they have everything under control.

Ferrari has hired over thirty technicians in the last three years, including personnel from top teams like Red Bull and Mercedes. While the Italian team has been investing heavily in personnel, it remains to be seen whether this investment will pay off. Nevertheless, Ferrari is determined to put a stop to their recent embarrassment and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve success in the sport.
