Will Carlo Ancelotti join Brazil in 2024? Real Madrid coach provides update

There appears to be far more willingness within Brazil to appoint a foreign coach for the first time ever

Speculation is ripe about Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti leaving the Los Blancos at the end of current season. Rumours claim the 64-year-old is on his way to coach the Brazil national team. However, Ancelotti has now sought to quash these rumours. Ancelotti has claimed he is fully focused on the La Liga job at hand.

There appears to be far more willingness within Brazil to appoint a foreign coach for the first time ever. Pep Guardiola’s name has been mentioned too. Although it seems he is focused on Manchester City.

Carlo Ancelotti has also been the subject of much discussion in Brazil. Seemingly the Selecao would be willing to make Ancelotti an offer if he had any interest in the position.

Ancelotti ‘happy’ at Real Madrid

However, in an interview with Radio1, Ancelotti has denied reports of him already having an agreement with Brazil. “Agreement with Brazil? It’s all about rumors, links… I feel very good at Real Madrid as things stand”, the Real Madrid coach said.

“We started our season in excellent way and we hope to keep going at same level”, Ancelotti told Radio1.

Although Ancelotti had previously expressed his desire to retire from his managerial career with Los Blancos, multiple reports claim he will take over as the manager of the Brazil national side at the end of this season.

Insidesport

While supporters of Brazil is overjoyed at the news of the multiple Champions League winning coach joining their team, it might not be the case for some Brazilians who have played under Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid and Brazil attacker Rodrygo Goes had expressed his discontentment at being played out of position by manager Carlo Ancelotti this season.

“It’s always important being able to do many things on the field. I’ve always said that I can play in both wings, I simply don’t like playing as a 9 but in Real Madrid I have to. With Brazil I can move all around the pitch and that helps my game. Being able to do those things is important because it increases your chances of playing and that’s crucial for me,” Rodrygo said after Brazil’s 1-1 draw with Venezuela.
