West Ham United new owners: Premier League club announces new owners as Czech Republic-based investment group acquires shares: In a statement released by the West Ham United’s social media handles yesterday, the Premier League outfit confirmed that the Czech Republic-based investment group has completed the acquisition of 27% the club’s shares. Daniel Kretnsk, the chairman of 1890s holdings a.s, and his colleague Pavel Horsk will become members of West Ham’s board as a result of the acquisition.

The Club statement further stated that “The agreement is a further improvement to the Club’s capital structure which will initially enable the reduction of its long-term debt and the ability to continue to direct funds generated into other key areas of focus, continuing the positive progress made at West Ham United in recent years.”

Daniel Kretinsky who is also the co-owner of Czech football team Sparta Prague said: “I am delighted this detailed process has now been successfully concluded. I am passionate about football. Co-chairmen David Gold and David Sullivan have been in-charge of the London based club since 2010, the duo has faced severe backlashes from the fans on many instances but in recent years the club has made impressive strides under manager former Manchester United and Everton manager David Moyes, with the team currently in 3rd in the Premier League, after their unexpected victory against Liverpool.
The Hammers also qualified for Europa League last season, by finishing in 6th place.
