The Mumbai City FC vs Kerala Blasters match in the Indian Super League (ISL) produced some high-end drama towards the fag end when a scuffle between both teams resulted in a double red card. The game was an entertaining one with Mumbai City FC having the last laugh. However, the game’s intensity grew in the second half of the match, with both team eager to win. The fracas took place in the 105th minute of the game.
Kerala Blasters defender Milos Drincic came rushing in and pushed Mehtab from behind after the Mumbai defender’s rough tackle on Rahul KP. The move resulted in a scuffle between two teams and plenty of pushing and shoving ensued. Mumbai City FC midfielder Van Nieff was especially aggressive in behaviour and received his second yellow card of the match. The referee showed a straight red card to Milos Drincic for initially triggering the scuffle with a push. Prabir Das of Kerala Blasters also received a yellow card for his agression.
Mumbai City FC won the match comfortably in the end. The 2-1 victory with Apuia’s 66th minute goal securing the tie for the Islanders and moved them to the second place of ISL table.
