Patrice Evra Sparks Tension
However, after the match ended, a physical altercation ensued between Evra and some of the coaches from Manchester City on the pitch. It was reported that Manel Estiarte, who is an assistant to Pep Guardiola, had to intervene and diffuse the situation by calming down Evra.
Following Manchester City’s impressive victory over the league-leading team, tensions flared between Patrice Evra and Manel Estiarte near Evra’s former teammate Rio Ferdinand and his colleagues at BT Sport.
A video captured the moment when Estiarte, the City assistant manager, intervened by holding Evra by the arms in an apparent effort to calm him down. Eventually, the two men shook hands before parting ways.

What did Patrice Evra tell CBS?
Evra later told CBS Sports: ‘He was looking at me, he was like ‘this is for you! This is for you!
‘So I came close and asked him why he was so agitated and he said ‘no because last year you said on TV that they [City] s*** themselves, that’s why they lose’, and this year they didn’t s*** themselves.
‘That’s the truth Micah [Richards]! You know I’m an honest man. I’m straight and after he apologised.’
Manchester City Thrashes Real Madrid
Bernardo Silva’s brace in the first half provided Manchester City with a significant advantage during the game. The situation further improved for City when Eder Militao unintentionally scored an own goal, followed by a late fourth goal from Julian Alvarez. With this comprehensive victory, Pep Guardiola’s team successfully avenged their heartbreaking semi-final defeat from the previous year.
