ISL 2023-24: The Indian Super League late on Monday night released a song with an emotional video dedicated to East Bengal FC.
The video starts with a lonely Cleiton Silva sitting dejectedly in the ground amidst rain, till a small girl offers a hand, signifying the crowd support.
The redemption arc of the Red & Gold brigade thus begins, with the rest of the video showing glimpses of various EBFC players and of coach Carles Cuadrat.

The song also possesses some powerful lyrics which suggests that the time has come for EBFC to turn the tide around. The video is sure to spur the East Bengal supporters and players on, who will be hoping for a first-ever top four finish this time around.
The club has endured a torrid start to their ISL career, finishing 9th, 11th and 9th in the three seasons they have been in ISL.
However, the East Bengal fans may see a better performance in the ISL soon, courtesy Carles Cuadrat. The Spaniard, who arrived in April, has already improved the side to quite an extent in his short stay.
The improvement was there for all to see in the recently-concluded Durand Cup. While East Bengal started the tournament as underdogs, they soon grabbed the spotlight by beating Mohun Bagan Super Giant 1-0 in the group stage.

A win over arch-rivals after four year did a world of good to the team’s confidence as a spirited East Bengal marched to the final where they faced MBSG again.
Although the result went against EBFC this time, their gritty mentality was hailed by one and all with Cuadrat specially getting mentioned for his seamless tactics.
The club has signed some reliable players this time around, with winger Nandha Kumar, midfielder Saul Crespo and Javi Siverio specially catching the eye.
Cuadrat and his team have given the East Bengal supporters a glimmer of hope after years of turmoil. Can they live up to it?
