In an untoward incident in Ligue 1, the Olympique Lyon bus was pelted with stones by unknown assailants in Marseille. The bus was on its way towards the Marseille stadium to play the Ligue 1 match against the home side.

The rocks, which were pelted right at the team bus, had perforated the glass on the bus with shards of the broken glass hitting Lyon head coach Fabio Grosso. The Italian boss is reported to have been bleeding, according to Le Parisien. A video on social media has shown the full extent of the damage to the Lyon coach as it arrived at the Stade Vélodrome.
The match has been cancelled following the attack and vandalism.
