WATCH Lionel Messi get nutmegged by son Thiago during Inter Miami Presentation

Thiago Messi stole the limelight during Lionel Messi's Inter Miami presentation with a sneaky nutmeg on his father.

When Lionel Messi made his official debut for Inter Miami, his son Thiago nearly stole the show by trying to pull a nutmeg on his famous father.At the DRV PNK Stadium on Sunday night, the MLS franchise, which is co-owned by David Beckham, introduced the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. 

Lionel Messi’s son Thiago was captured in a comical situation with his father during the Inter Miami ‘Unveil’ ceremony. As Messi made his entrance onto the field, enthusiastically greeting the thousands of fans gathered at the DRV PNK stadium.

Thiago surprised him by kicking a ball in his direction. Caught off guard Messi accidentally bumped into the ball and amusingly turned around to identify the culprit responsible for tossing it at him.

After barely succeeding in completing his megs effort, Thiago lifted his arms in joy. People in the audience cheered for the 10-year-old when his father recognised the humour in a manoeuvre that the boy had executed on his own.

Following a weather delay in Florida, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner was welcomed to the fervent Miami fan base on Sunday night during a lavish presentation. Messi went to pacing around the pitch at DRV PNK Stadium after receiving his new No. 10 shirt from David Beckham and Jorge Mas, taking in the support of the spectators.

Given their MLS form woes, Inter Miami is thrilled to have Argentine great Messi on board. The 2022 World Cup champion will make his Leagues Cup debut on Friday when Tata Martino’s team takes against Cruz Azul.
