Lionel Messi beautiful free-kick helps Argentina win

The Argentine maestro succeeds once more! Argentina defeats Ecuador 1-0 thanks to an outstanding free kick by Messi. Messi might not be wearing the Argentina jersey when they attempt to retain their title as world champions at the upcoming FIFA World Cup. But he is doing everything in his power to aid them in winning the qualifying series.

In the 78th minute, well outside of Ecuador’s penalty area, it was striker Lautaro Martinez who was awarded a free kick. This was in the middle of the field. Lionel Messi hit a beautiful free kick that went past Hernan Galindez, the goalie for Ecuador, and into the far corner of the goal. It’s true to state that Messi’s attempt had little chance of being blocked by the goalkeeper.

Since signing with MLS team Inter Miami, Lionel Messi has been in incredible form. The Argentine ended his tumultuous tenure at Paris Saint-Germain. With as many as 10 goals in just seven games, Messi also took home the Golden Boot honor in the Leagues Cup’s first competition.

Lionel Messi also equaled former Barcelona colleague Luis Suarez of Uruguay as the all-time leading scorer in the South American qualifications. His goal against Ecuador during the qualifying campaign was the Argentine’s 29th goal. On Tuesday, September 12, the captain of Argentina will play once more for his nation. This is when La Albiceleste take on Bolivia in a World Cup qualifying match.

Messi to miss a couple of matches for Inter Miami

The boss of the Herons has revealed that the great playmaker will not take the field for the forthcoming three games in September.

Tata Martino said, ‘Lionel Messi is going to miss at least 3 games, he will get called up for his national team.’ The renowned playmaker will probably be called upon to represent his native Argentina in the World Cup qualifiers, which begin next month.

In September, the Albiceleste will play Bolivia and Ecuador before facing Paraguay and Peru in October. Then, in November, Argentina will square off against rivals Brazil and Uruguay; it is practically a given that Lionel Messi will play in these contests.

Inter Miami will be in a precarious position as a result, but Tata Martino has publicly advised his team that they must become “accustomed to winning” without relying on Lionel Messi all the time.
